its been 2 days in mexico and its as if nothing has changed since previous years in terms of the violence. God has protected us, and we have been gretted by the utmost kindness in the families we've been building for. Every team has got all but the finishing touches done on their house. Tomorrow we will be finishing up and dedicating the house. This will be the day of days. Seeing the tears of joy pour from the eyes of the families we touch is proof alone that there is a God, and He works through us to this day. As our campus intern Justin Kirklin said, "there is absolutely no logical reason for nearly 60 students to sacrifice their spring break and 500 dollars but by the work of God." We are a miracle to these families, and your support is a miracle to us. God bless!

Roswell!

We finally made it to Alien town in Roswell, NM. This is our first night out of the van before we hit El Paso. Thank you all for praying for us and helping us get this far.
After a relatively full nights sleep we will pack the vans again by 9:30 a.m. After that, we will have a worship service spent in God's word and in worship through prayer and music. God is great! He has blessed us all so much, and we only hope that we can give back a little of what He's given us.
Tomorrow afternoon should be a relaxing one, wandering around New Mexico and checking out the Alien Museum. It will be our last day of rest before we head into Juarez on Monday morning to commence our hard work of building four homes for families who have insufficient shelter.
Thank you all for your prayers and support. As you know, we will really need it in the next few days. But rest easy, as God has sent us all down here for a reason. He will see us through. As it is said in acts, "We must go through many hardships to enter the kingdom of God." Acts 14:22 And "[we] can do all things through him who gives [us] strength" Philippians 4:13.
In Oklahoma!
Hey all, we've made it to Oklahoma. We just raided the local diner for breakfast in Tulsa. It's our first extended period out of the van since we left. After much debate over where we ate last year, we decided that it was the Village Inn and not Kelly's Country Kitchen. We seem to be making pretty good time considering the four vans we have to keep track of. I will try to get some photos up soon.
P.S. Our friend and first timer Justin Kufuor discovered Cattle for the first time.

On the Road
Well we're finally on the road. We left around 8pm and we will be driving through the night. We wont be stopping until we hit Roswell, NM. There we will be staying in the same motel we've stayed in foe the past 10 years. After that it's El Paso and then across the border into Juarez.
Check Back Soon for the First Update!
Hey all, We are about to leave the house here in a few minutes. All four vans are packed, we're just waiting to get the last few kinks worked out. Good news! we got the money for a fourth house! Please pray for us all that we will be safe and that we are effective for God. It's going to be an amazing trip, and we thank you all for your love and support. Please continue to check back periodically for new updates and pictures.
